Pups produced through AI should be submitted for registration using the usual litter application form. This must be accompanied by:
- A signed letter from the entity that collected the semen, detailing the quantity collected, amount stored, and the amount shipped, and giving the dog’s registration number and the date of collection.
- A signed letter from the entity that received the semen and performed the procedure, stating the amount of semen received and the date received, date and amount of semen used in the insemination, and the registration numbers of both sire and dam.
- In the event the semen was not transmitted directly from the collecting entity to the inseminating entity, a signed letter from any intermediary custodian with the date they received the semen and amount received, and the date they forwarded it and amount forwarded. This letter must also provide the registration number of the dog.
- If the sire dog is not registered with the ABCA, a copy (front and back) of his registration certificate with a registry recognized by ABCA, and his 4-generation pedigree if not previously recorded by the ABCA. Please contact the ABCA office to learn whether his pedigree is already recorded.
