IN BRIEF

The primary reasons the ABCA has become such a resounding success is because it is: a democratic, member driven registry; it is a reliable keeper of genetic records for members; the service to members is fast, friendly, and affordable; and the registry has done a good job in promotion of Border Collies and especially American bred ones. Leroy Boyd has had a major role for the 18-year history of the ABCA in envisioning and implementing programs that have made all the aforementioned attributes of the ABCA possible. His leadership and service to the Border Collie breed and to the ABCA has been invaluable. He has been one of the most important people in the development of the ABCA and deserves to be in the ABCA Hall of Fame (M. Neary)
